Our Mission

At St. Charles Heat, our primary mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 6-18 to discover, develop, and excel in track and field. We believe in the power of sports to instill valuable life skills such as discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and self-confidence. Our goal is to nurture the growth of young athletes by providing them with the tools to succeed both in sports and in life.

Coach J

After nearly two decades of leading St.Charles Heat, Greg decided to bring one of his long standing protégés on board with him to help coach and lead the team; Jalessa better known as Coach J has been by Greg’s side with the team for 3 years now.

Coach J first began her track career as a freshman at Francis Howell Central. Though she was late to enter the track world she came in on fire and quickly made a name for herself by dominating the track scene in her district going to state and placing 3rd with her 4x1 teammates her first year. As a 3x returning state contender for her 4x4 relay, 100m, and 200m dash. Coach J ended her high school career as a record holder for her 4x1 relay for the year 2007 and her 200m dash in 2009. Shortly after her high school career she went off to TSU to join the Track team as a walk on Athlete; and now continues her passion for track as Head Coach for the St. Charles Heat Track Team.
